Title: 2Litre v 2.5Litres a new argument? Post by: Paul Greenway on 27 October, 2011, 10:38:44 AM In the Italian market (rest of mainland Europe?)when in production you could have your Gamma with 2litres (tax reasons) or 2.5 litres.
There are many- what appear to be- nice 2 litre examples for sale in Italy and what I want to know is, are there any benefits with the 2 litre cars over their bigger engined siblings? Do they have similar mechanical issues and are they any more reliable? Having said that , by now most Gammas will have been resolved of their maladies won't they? With regard to you later question - yes. Gammas these days are not a troublesome beast to run, and even if they are, there is a really good support group available for both the cars and the owners! aka, The Gamma Consortium. There have been some nice Gamma Berlinas for sale recently, so I think a Gamma has to be a very good choice for "Clan Greenway"..! As for thhe driving experience and the reliability issues of the 2 litre Gamma, I too would love to know the answer. So if anyone has experience of the 2ltr Gamma flat four, please fill us in!
