Despite the torrential rain, there was an excellent turn out for the Aurelia lunch. Over 60 owners were present, but due to the weather conditions there were only a dozen cars, well down on the usual numbers.

I will post some photos later, it won't allow them at the moment!

Maybe they'll be a few more in line now for that wiper motor conversion  :)

Here's a couple of snaps from our mini convoy from Sussex - the Connolly B20 and my 6th series setting off and one on the M40 - touched 115 on the way home - fun drive   8)

Looks like I have a picture orientation problem - does anyone know why JPG files upload in a different orientation to the way they appear on my computer?  do they have to be saved down in a certain way....

Thanks to Mike and Ade for arranging the lunch and getting everyone together. It's a very important date in the Aurelia diary and the attendance was excellent even though the wipers and demisters were given such a prolonged test this year.
It was good to see so many familiar faces - and quite a few new cars this year!

You're bringing back memories.  As well as the wiper upgrade I put in a self adhesive rear demister and ended up with non standard rear screen rubbers.  Quite a lot of time also went into getting the front screen water tight but we DID get there in the end!!  Anyone heard from Bernie Fisher recently?

Another factor was that my starting point included a battered and already heavily stained interior.  I'm wondering what my now more mature attitude would be if I had a car with a decent interior, original window seals, and a couple of known leaks...  Perhaps all those "new" cars won't be back for another wet one while the old hands knew their limits.
