Title: A Sad end
Post by: Charles on 16 May, 2011, 10:08:58 AM
This is what can result when you don't look in your mirror before you pull out and hence don't realise that a Y10 selectronic (with only 17 K miles on the clock) is passing you.  My son Jack was overtaking a Vectra when the owner pulled out and knocked him into a telegraph post. Look where the front offside wheel ended up! Great shame about the Y10, must have been one of the best in existence but, unbelievably, Jack has only a broken right femur, cracked left ankle  and cracked right forearm.  Not a mark on his face or upper body and no internal injuries - thank God.

Ouch!  I wish your son Jack a speedy recovery, a very lucky escape, looks like the Y10 did a good job in protecting him.

Mega-Ouch! I am very glad to hear that Jack is a very lucky boy. Please wish him a speedy recovery Charles. The Y10 looks a mess but presumably some of the damage was post-accident by the emergency services? Still, the offside front wheel has been moved a lot by the accident but it looks as if it didn't take up much space in the passenger compartment.

Glad to hear Jack had a lucky escape. Undoubtedly a traumatic experience.
