Title: Anyone for a Y10 Selectronic
Post by: Paul Greenway on 26 October, 2010, 12:18:26 PM
Just appeared on E-bay, Y10 selectronic, 2 owners, 17.5K miles only, full ticket, looks V clean in & out from the snaps, couple of minor scrapes only. Apparently been stored for past 10 years. Can't be that many left now particularly in original condition.

Looks like a good one: http://bit.ly/921T80 and while you're on Ebay why not pick a spare low mileage Selectronic for £14.99! http://bit.ly/csvkSS

If you're selling your pride & joy why not buy this to get back in the game? If it was this time next year I might have been bidding for it as Jack's 1st Lancia.

Looks like someone has bought it privately as the sale has ended.

The £14.99 is for a rear light as he's breaking it and selling the bits.

Yep, my son Jack snapped it up last night, it's his eighth Y10!  (First selectronic) It's in amazing condition having only had one lady owner and then having spent the last 10 years in a museum.  We drove it back to Wiltshire last night (140 miles) with no problems and Jack has gone off to work in it this morning.  It is really too good for everyday use, however.

Specially as they've started spreading on the motorways :(

I was actually tempted by that one tho , glad it's 'in the family' so to speak ...

Charles, congratulations on your purchase, if the Y10 hasn't been used for 10 years I would recommend when you are servicing it to change the gearbox oil (Specific to the selectronic box) and also the gearbox oil filter which is located in the gearbox accessible by taking the 'sump' off the gearbox. Sneaky but I don't blame you it was worth having.
As I said if you need a workshop manual at anytime, I have one on the Selectronic.

I was tempted, but having two Lancias at the back of the house will result in a severe ear bashing. The Fulvia will need to go before I even broach the subject!

Thank you Ade and Brian for the advice and the offer of the manual, which I have passed on to Jack.  The car really is a splendid little motor.  The view under the bonnet is quite uncanny - it really is just as it came from the showroom.
