Bill Lewis makes subframe boxes to original design. Along with a lot of other stuff like sills, inner sills etc

While we're on the subject, does anyone have a contact for Bill? I believe he's in Market Drayton, just round the corner from me.

Not a good idea to start brandishing peoples telephone numbers about without permission?

This is the sister Fulvia to the one Richard has just bought although ihis is in much better condition, Gordon Cripps sold this one sometime ago and it's in pretty poor condition, be a shame if someone doesn't save it, as Gordon bought it new, and collected it himself from Chivasso; can't be too many about with that sort of history.

does anyone know the purpose of the outer sill extension depicted? and the reason for the 32/ 38 mm differing measurements on top +bottom horizontal planes.also why are these components neccessary only when used with non o/e sills?my fabrication freind is confused by the drawing so info very welcome.best regards richard.[those subrame mounting box dimensions seem difficult to find also]

to answer my own question and to share todays experience with anyone interested i can confirm 100mm cubes minus the underside are suitable[skirt to be trimmed] whilst the 'sill extensions' in Brians diagrams fit vertically above the boxes.i am glad i had these made in advance of the cars visit to the welding bay along with sills/inner membrane.out of interest i will weigh the rust/dried mud removed from the existing ones-a few kilos now in a carrier bag!

Richard,
That's great news and sounds like everything is going well, did you manage to get any photos as I'd really be interested in them and see where the sill extensions fit.
What state were the actual boxes in?
