Title: Clarkson - Top Gear Mag
Post by: Lindsay on 01 June, 2009, 06:46:56 PM
Flicking through in WH Smith, I see this month Clarkson is a fan of Lancias. Bit of slagging off, but overall hyping them up to be even better than Alfas......whether this is a good thing is anyone's guess but given his following, probably favourable.

Saw it too. Still going on about rust etc but I guess the little fulvia coupe is still a favourite in his mind.

Would love to see him make a fool in a Stratos (his latest muse) though, if he can get in it with his bad back!"!

If he can get in it full stop.  He's a big bloke and would need some serious folding to fit in a Stratos.

Don't tell me this inane poor excuse for a motor journalist or whatever you call him, is finally getting out of the romper stage. ::)

Whether or not he professes to like Lancia's now, there's a lot of us with long memories of his assassination job with the co-operation of the buffoons at the BBC when Lancia pulled out of the RHD market.

I reckon he is going on about the pre Thema Lancias. Themas and beyond would no doubt still be rubbished - although the 8.32 did get a favourable mention.

On the same basis that enough monkeys will eventually come up with Shakespeare, so must we assume that Clarkson is capable of coming up with a sensible opinion.  Doesn't however, make him any less of an annoying pillock.
