Title: Offside Headlamp Fulvia Sports Required Urgently
Post by: fay66 on 01 June, 2009, 09:49:43 AM
Can anyone help please, ???
Yesterday A lady friend had the misfortune of someone backing into her Series 2 Fulvia Sports Zagato breaking her offside headlamp glass :'(, although the reflector is ok it's a sealed beam unit so I suspect the only way is a complete headlamp unit.

Omicron can't suggest a source, can anyone here please.

There are usually a few on eBay at any one time. Failing that then Italian autojumbles will turn one up. I am surprised Omicron cannot source one though.

I didnt realise you could get sealed beam in these lights. I also think the lens pattern is same for n/s and o/s, and generally they have a movable back plate that the bulb fits into to twist for rhd or lhd patterns.

Renault 16/12 have same reflector but concave glass - it doesnt affect beam pattern.

Brian please clarify sead beam etc. I have a renault lens I may part with but even these are like the rocking horse poo. The only time I sam them on ebay was 199 euro opening price - needless to say no bids. Omicron have been thinking about offering a remanufactured unit but nothing in pipeline as far as I know.

hi brian, i have one in my autojumble stuff with convex glass.needs re silvering though.says made in france cibie 187 1467.the glass seems to be bonded to the shell so possibly seperable?anyhow ok to use temporarily until a better one comes up.had it on my own car until recently passed MOT tests but obviously a bit dim with the poor silvering.richard
