Title: Celebrating your Lancia and 35 years of Lancia Delta in 2009 Post by: fay66 on 16 March, 2009, 11:36:44 PM Club Lancia Sport have sent out an email to a friend advertising events to coincide with "35 Years of the Lancia Delta in 2009".
It's either an error, or someone has got their calculations wrong. Delta was launched to the press in the Autumn of 1979, and was voted car of the year 1980, by 52 European journalists. Which only makes it 30 years old this year? Granted, that Guigiaro was commissioned in April 1975 to make proposals for the Y5 project in competition with Pietro Castagnero, a competition that Guigiaro won. but even if you take this as a starting point, 2009 is still only 34 years. ??? Take "Fay" out for a run, she was supposed to go to Goodwood last saturday but as the forecast wasn't good, and she lives in a lock up 5 miles away, and I have no way of drying her off before putting her away, I had to put up ;D with going with Peter Watcham in his Kappa Coupe. so she's now overdue for her exercise session.
