Title: "Lancia Bug"
Post by: Kevin MacBride on 09 October, 2008, 11:15:44 AM
Here's one for you oldies out there.. I came across an old photo of a Lancia 'Special' built over here (Ireland) in the 30's, long before Mr Cooper and maybe even before Mr Auto Union.
It's a rear/mid engined racing car, built with what seems to be a Lambda engine, sliding pillar front suspension (unknown model) and possible bits and bobs from a Bugatti.
As soon as I can transfer the photos to disc I'll post them. The photo is in a book called 'Wheel Patter' by Dudley Colley, recounting his exploits with a Frazer Nash in the 30's and 40's. I know his son Tony, who may have more info about the Lancia.
