Title: Help – Fulvia Montecarlo Spot/Foglights?
Post by: FulviaFiend on 18 July, 2008, 07:33:10 AM
Hi,

Does anyone know the make and model of the original additional driving/spot/fog lights fitted to 2/3 series Fulvia Montecarlo's? Then comes the inevitable question, anyone also know where I can source a pair?

Presently have round period Carello's but thinking of swapping to the more factory originals… attached is a period picture for help

Any help much appreciated

FF

If you have a copy of the TAV's you will find them in there (p63A/3).

They are Carello PF Polaris (Carello 02.308.000). As they are not handed I would imagine that Italian Ebay would be a good place to start.

Much as they maybe the correct lights, I can't say that from an asthetic point of view I've ever liked rectangular spotlights on a car with round headlamps. but that's just me ;D

Looks like they may be impossible to find anyway, still look for a little longer but will probably stay with my existing ones as I agree they probably look better anyway…

…other members thoughts?

 spot lights (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Carello-Fog-Lights-Lamps-Rare_W0QQitemZ180272975518QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item180272975518&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A10&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318)

Are these the ones - they look similar ?

It is now possible to buy Cibia Oscar replica which look great either as a pair or two up and two down

Very, very difficult to find the original Carello foglights for the Fulvia Montecarlo. I have seen them once at a classic car swapmeet on sale for a silly price.

Still not even seen a set for sale, at any price!

Many thanks for all the feedback, will keep looking ;)

As an alternative, my S2 Coupe when it came from Italy in 1982 had Cibie foglights fitted with H1 bulbs  (see below), not quite the same as the Carello model, they also have a smaller modern version available also being rectangular.

Thanks for the update and picture, but I will stick to my NOS round Carello's for now unless I find the correct Montecarlo's at some point the the probably distant future (they kind of look cuter too!). ;)
