Title: Imasaf Exhausts
Post by: Dave Gee on 04 April, 2022, 06:22:32 PM
Just to let you know, I tried to buy an exhaust from this German company last week. Although I have purchased two exhausts from them in the past, they are now refusing to ship to the UK. It's a crying shame as the other two were well made exhausts. Don't waste your time and effort trying to get one from them.

That's a shame. I purchased an Imasaf system around five years ago for my car and it's still as good as the day it was fitted (with the exception of the chrome tip which has rust pitted badly). To the best of my knowledge they are the only company that make a system for my 1998 Delta HPE. I guess the only option when it does need replacing will be to have a stainless system made.
I presume you tried to buy direct from Imasaf? There may be independent agents selling online or eBay etc. who would ship to the UK as a way around it.

Regards

Thats a shame - I have always found them to be good quality & fit and their range for older Lancias is excellent.
I have been to their factory N of Padova twice to have new systems fitted by them but everything seemed to change a couple of years ago.
I cant buy direct from them ( for shipping to my house in NE Italy - I have to go through a local motor factor ) anymore and they seem to prefer to sell though the German Agent these days even for shipment to Italy.
I will need a complete new system for my B21S soon (which IMASAF dont actually specifically list strangely enough - the downpipe to manifold flanges are 2 stud) but good old  Cavalitto has systems in stock at what I think is a reasonable price so I will have a day out in Turin in the summer and pick one a full system up..
They will ship to the UK by the way.
Chris

Dave - I too have an Imasaf system which I'm very pleased with.  Have you tried Martin Willems in the Netherlands and Pieces-Fulvia in France? They, along with Omicron, provided most of the parts for my S2.

Pieces-Fulvia (www.pieces-fulvia.com) list Imasaf exhaust components on their website.

Martin Willems (www.martinwillems.nl) list exhaust components that look very similar to Imasaf, and quite probably are, and at similar prices to what I paid from the factory.

Both companies have excellent priced websites with an English language option. Interestingly, I understand that Omicron are working on a searchable website with part level detail. That would be very useful, especially if parts are priced!

 Norman

Your link to Martin Willems takes you to an upmarket Hair Salon in The Hague! Cut & Blowdrys but no exhausts ;D

Thanks for spotting that - could have been worse I guess!   Should have been .nl rather than .com   I've fixed it now.

Is that through Autodoc? They're in Germany but allthough delivery has gone up from inside a week to nearer 2 weeks I've still had parts from them this year, they sell that exhaust brand and have shipped to me in the past

What a pain in the a…., I also have had exhausts from them in the past and they have always fitted perfectly. The one on my 815 Coupe is now six or seven years old and is still in perfect condition, but as some of you may know I never get my car wet which has obviously helped, so hopefully the exhaust will outlive me !
