Title: Kugelfischer injection
Post by: GG on 04 November, 2021, 02:07:47 PM
Kugelfischer injection systems were used on Flavia coupes from (I think) 1965 to 1970.

While the pumps used are visually similar, they had different fuel curves, with the 1.8L and 2L:

for the 815.400 - PL 004-117.01A-1 (AST 1086 dated 7/10/65)
for the 820.400 - PL 004-117.02 A2  (AST 1505 - dated 27.3.70)

Interestingly enough, the one for the Flavia 2000 had a relocated bolt and a portion of the pump housing cutawayto facilitate starter clearance.

Injector nozzles were the same on both.

Here are photos of the pump for the Flavia 2000, or 820.400. Notice the cutout for the starter. Its number is stamped on and readily visible.

The last picture is from the pump in the car, showing its number as 117.01-A2. It is not the same as either data sheet, the 815.400 being 117.01A-1. Anyone have any thoughts on what this pump is for? Can't find the number anywhere. Its a Lancia pump for sure, maybe an early 2 liter answer?
