Title: Steering Wheel Refurbishment contacts?
Post by: grandespud on 10 May, 2021, 02:19:23 PM

Back in the Lancia fold after a few years away!
Just wondered if anyone can recommend a good place to refurb leather steering wheels. I have a tired Delta HF Turbo OEM wheel that I'd like re-covering. Ideally somewhere in or near-ish to yorkshire so I can visit them (I like the 'in-person' approach) but if not, I'm happy to send it away if needs be to get a decent job done. I liked the 'one man in a shed' guy that was featured in one of the episodes of Drew Pritchard's classic car series, but unfortunately can't remember his name. I also suspect he's quite busy after that appearance!
Cheers all.

Not local to you (High Wycombe), but I used these guys a few years ago: http://royalsteeringwheels.com/
I had 2 wheels covered, one alcantara and one leather and I was very impressed with the quality and workmanship. Amusingly, one of his main drivers of business was brand new Audis where a re-cover in alcantara was cheaper than ticking the box on the spec list. :)

Link to website of the guy in Salvage Hunters Classic Cars who re-trimmed the Delta steering wheel - https://www.pridecarcustoms.com/ (https://www.pridecarcustoms.com/)
