Title: Lancia Montecarlo restoration on TV
Post by: GT on 05 February, 2021, 03:01:30 PM
A friend of mine mentioned to me he had seen a good car restoration programme featuring a Lancia on Quest TV. Bit of research and found  'Salvage Hunters, Classic Cars' Episode 5 Lancia Montecarlo and is repeated tomorrow, Sat 6 Feb at 7pm. Enjoy.

Yes, I watched it, very interesting, they visited Rod Shipley for a lot of bits to return it to a series one, as the front had been changed.
What I found most interesting was when they visited a company who matched the faded seating material,  then using digital technology reproduced it for them.
It wasn't cheap but at least there is a route open to allow interior trim material to be reproduced.
I though they made a good job of it, although I cant say I like some of Drew's ideas.
It sold for £20k.
