Title: Marelli alternator - need connection info
Post by: peteracs on 28 October, 2020, 08:24:11 PM
Hi All

Anyone know which of the spade connections is the indicator connection on this alternator? My old alternator is faulty electrically and I bought this many moons ago as a spare, but it gives me too many connections and no indication of which is which....

Marelli 63303700

I have tried to search the web, but this particular one does not appear.

Hi Peter,
I cannot say 100% but 67 is the field terminal and in most instances is the feed from the ignition switch via the warning light and is the voltage required to create a magnetic field to start the alternator charging. Sometimes called DF, F or EXC.(EXCITER) .  On some alternators, No. 61,D+,L or IND is the warning lamp terminal.
Hope this helps.
