For me nostalgic for NY where (in a previous life...) I spent a lot of time. As regards the car I'd hate to drive on NY roads with low profile tyres, the exhaust sounds odd, and am reminded of the one I drove and others I rode in sounding like the inside of a snare drum as the bits of plastic twanged and the shell twisted about etc etc. For me it was always one of those cars that of course went well and held the road and handled beautifully BUT needed a lot of forgiving for the lack of refinement. A Dedra Turbo bounced about a bit and in 2wd form short of low speed grip but a MUCH nicer compromise and one passengers NEVER complained at. Been to LA airport and flown over miles and miles and miles (and miles and miles) of it suburbs (and thanked UK green belt policy!!!) but its not a city I know. I noted he was taken in, as a 10 yr old, not so much by the Porsche but by the Martini Porsche. We've all seen that livery before somewhere...... :D :D Thanks for posting the link, it makes for addictive viewing. Tim |
