Title: 2012 Delta S3 2.0 Multi-Jet
Post by: Paul Greenway on 22 March, 2020, 01:23:19 PM
Hi all,

Just testing the water through the Club first as ideally I would like it to go to a LMC member. Please note the ad is written in a way to explain what it is to a wider purchasing audience so apologies if insults your intelligence. The car will be available in the next few weeks (subject to what happens with the dreaded Covid 19!). I have been as honest as possible in its description. If interested, please PM me, thanks.

2012 RHD LANCIA DELTA 2.0 Multi-Jet (Diesel) Executive.

This car was originally the top of the range luxury Chrysler Delta Limited series for RHD markets now returned to how it should have always been & in line with its European counterparts.

Being a Lancia enthusiast & regardless of cost I went to great lengths to replace all exterior badging with OE Lancia items including correct Facelift (2011 MY onwards) ‘Momo’ design Grille and wheel centre caps. Steering wheel airbag has also been replaced by genuine Lancia item, sill plates now Lancia. It is, however still registered on the V5C as a Chrysler Delta.

It has had 4 owners in total (Demo + 3), I have owned it since November 2017 in which time it has covered 35,000 trouble free miles. Mileage is currently just under 101,000.

The car comes with a FSH, the important timing belt, belt tensioners, water pump & DPF Filter were changed at 85,000 miles in November 2018 – so next due at 133,000 miles or Nov ’22 whichever sooner (every 4yrs or 48k miles after first change), it has been serviced annually, recent front tyres (98k miles) & battery (100k miles), MOT due in October 2020.

Lovely car finished in white with gloss black roof & gold ‘D’ badging as standard on upmarket Limited/Executive spec.

Comes fully equipped with (optional) 18” alloy wheels, cornering fogs, electrically operated heated folding door mirrors, tinted glass, privacy glass, rear parking sensors, LED day running lights, full ‘Poltrona Frau’ premium leather trim including dashboard covering, electrically operated & heated front seats, Satellite Navigation, dual zone climate control, cruise control, two speed steering, auto lights & wipers, six airbags, adjustable rear seat, front & rear centre armrests, small fridge, blue & me, TPMS, Bose sound system incl CD player, remote central locking, alarm, all round electric windows.

Car is in excellent condition except for 1 small mark on rear o/s wing & scuffed alloys (fantastic wheels to look at but prone to chipping due to exposed edge design). No known faults. Two keys.

Shares the same platform as Alfa Romeo Giulietta & Fiat Bravo but on a longer wheelbase, which results in an extremely spacious & versatile car.

Six speed manual gearbox with 165bhp, 0-60 mph in 8.5 secs, 135mph top speed, 55mpg combined cycle although realistically it has averaged around 46mpg (50mpg motorway, 40mpg around town).

Only 53 Chrysler Delta Limited were sold in the UK due to high price (£28k new)- Chrysler buyers didn’t understand it, it wasn’t a PT replacement and very few other potential buyers wanted a Chrysler badged car that was introduced in the UK 3 years after the Lancia version had been launched in Europe. There are even fewer returned to Lancia status like this one- possibly 2-3 others max. Good luck finding another.

It is a great car, just look at owners reviews on Autotrader.

*Note* private number plate will be removed before sale. 6 months tax & MOT. HPI clear.

Available from 18/04/2020.

Priced to sell at £2,950 ovno. What’s not to like?[/i]

Sorry,

But for obvious reasons the car has been withdrawn from sale in the present climate. When things change I will re-post at a later date. Thanks for those who have shown interest & did pm me.

Regards,

Paul.

This car will be available for sale in the next couple of weeks.

Now has just under 105,000 miles, it has 10 months Tax & MOT, it was serviced in November, new front tyres fitted this week.

It is a great car in very good condition.

Bad points- wheels kerbed, minor scratches on rear bumper where loaded sons bike in. Ever so slight 25mm long scratch minor dint under o/s rear light. Blue tooth no longer works but may be resolved once plugged into diagnostic checker. Electrical issue draining battery after 3 days (when not used), not alternator but not had opportunity to have inspected.

Otherwise as described in original post.

Car no longer insured after Monday 18th January as wife's replacement arrives then. Will be back on '61 plate. Looking for £2000 ovno which for the top model is a steal.

Just to say I sold my Lancia badged 1.6 last summer and had the same battery drain which I think was probably the alarm, but the car was brilliant. Fast, comfortable, economical and very roomy.

Car now sold to another member of the LMC, thanks.

Derek (M) I too believe it is an alarm related issue, that is what other people have also said and seems to be a common occurrence on the Chrysler Delta forum.
