Meanwhile some entertainment for us all...I'm in for a Beta 1300 coupe with a heated rear window as standard at £3643.38 inclusive of the 8% vat and £259.50 car tax. I'd rather not have the electric windows, but am still pondering if the £173.16 is is too much for metallic paint. Anyone able to post the colour card to help me here? That 1300 Coupe would be £22,800 in 2019 money, and the paint an extra £1083. I've solved the paint issue as its NOT an option on the 1300, only the "1600/2000 models". A Beta 2000 HPE is £32,200 plus the paint and electric windows another £889. Call it £34,000. It also seemed a fair jump in price from the equivalent saloon (although of course, it was two or three cars in one!).
My impression is they got quite a bit cheaper as they got towards the end of production, but I could be wrong. |
