Title: Voltage Regulator - Wire connection help required
Post by: DELTONA on 01 August, 2019, 03:00:10 PM
On removing the metal plate to access the voltage regulator, the connection from what looks to me like a suppressor of some description literally broke/crumbled away from where it was connected to. It was definitely connected somewhere on the 'Voltage Regulator' but I cannot for the life of me see where it could have been attached to? I attach a photo and highlighted the wire in question, I don't believe its anything major but I always tread carefully with electrics. Can anyone shed some light as to where it should be connected or be so kind as to send a picture if you have it on your series 1 / 1.3 coupe? Much appreciated.

Unless it’s shown on the wiring diagram (and I doubt it is) I think it is probably an anti-inference radio suppressor fitted many years ago that you almost certainly don’t need. I think you can safely discard it.
