"I’m not a member of your esteemed group - I’m a “Porsche-guy” myself, but I want to send my condolences to the group. My wife Dawn & Maureen were friends from school days…. As they say, we “go way back” with the Batts. Gerald drove us from our wedding at St.Laurence, Seale to the reception at The Bush, Farnham in one of his impressive open-top vehicles (an HB? - not a Lancia); and their son Lance was the page boy in our wedding. Although we’ve lived in the USA for decades, we were in UK this past November and stopped by to see Maureen & Gerald - had a wonderful chin-wag an caught up for way too many years apart. It is indeed amazingly sad for us all to lose such a strong, wonderful, friend. She will be missed.
