Very sad news - came as a shock as I didn't know she was ill.

Deepest commiserations to Gerald.
She was an amazing character and seemed to be ageless.
She will be sorely missed.
Ben

What a lovely photo and so full of life, I never met the Lady personally, but my sincere condolences to Gerald and his family.

My nephew Luke and I shared a dinner table with Maureen Batt at the Lancia Club France Rallye Annuel in September, and greatly enjoyed her company. Our sympathy to Gerald and to their family. Cesare

Received this via e-mail and am posting onto the thread :

"I’m not a member of your esteemed group - I’m a “Porsche-guy” myself, but I want to send my condolences to the group.
My wife Dawn & Maureen were friends from school days…. As they say, we “go way back” with the Batts.
Gerald drove us from our wedding at St.Laurence, Seale to the reception at The Bush, Farnham in one of his impressive open-top vehicles (an HB? - not a Lancia); and their son Lance was the page boy in our wedding.
Although we’ve lived in the USA for decades, we were in UK this past November and stopped by to see Maureen & Gerald - had a wonderful chin-wag an caught up for way too many years apart.
It is indeed amazingly sad for us all to lose such a strong, wonderful, friend.
She will be missed.
