Title: Fulvia Windscreen washer motor
Post by: Paul Greenway on 21 May, 2018, 05:50:04 PM
Although not now required, for peace of mind during my recent (current) service I requested that my Fulvia Sport be MOT tested. It would have failed on the windscreen washer motor as it has lost power and hasn't the oomph to get the water to the screen.
Does anyone have a spare or know where I can get one?

It also would have advisories on both rear anti-roll bar end (drop link) bushes which are quite perished. Who's the best and most competitive stockist for new?

All advice welcome, thanks.

Paul

You could try a one way valve on the washer pump https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-One-Way-Inline-Washer-Valve-For-Windscreen-Wiper-Jet-Pump-Front-Rear/281284497806?epid=1538056690&hash=item417ddcd18e:g:Z2QAAOSwAolah6JM

Thanks for your advice as always Tim.

For £3.75 the washer valve has to be worth a punt!

Omicron supplied my bushes as well as the special bolts at a very reasonable cost, I think the bushes were under £15 each.
Make sure however that you make a note of how they fit as the offside one can foul if fitted the wrong way around, the rubber in one of my bushes had completely disintegrated and the bolt was rattling on the metal outer part of the bush, the other looked perfect, but as soon as my local garage started pressing the old out, it fell apart.
made heck of a difference once the new bushes were fitted.

Brian I think you are talking about the lateral sway bar. The drop links are complicated with top hat washers and roll pins on the upper bush....

Your right Tim, I was talking about the panhard rod bushes, series 1 Berlina don't have drop links.

All parts purchased from Omicron, should be here tomorrow then we can get the car finished and waxoiled and hopefully ready for a weekend blast complete with new MOT.
