Title: FLAVIA COUPE CHROME WINDOW WINDER
Post by: LOFTUS on 11 May, 2018, 10:58:46 AM
The drivers side window winder on my Flavia Coupe is so badly worn that I need a serviceable replacement . Does anyone have a spare lying forgotten in the corner of their garage ?

Hi Peter,

Is it the same as the 2000 saloon as it's possible that I may have one of those buried somewhere.

Robin.

To be able to check I need a photo.

Thanks for your replies and photos sent by email .
Although the wiper handle looks in good condition the problem is that the grooves have worn away inside and the splines on the door are unable to engage properly .

I wonder if chemical metal might provide a solution. Coat the spindle in a releasing agent, pack the recess in the handle with chemical metal, push it into place and let it cure.
