Title: Y10 turbo to restore on ebay - with donor (or not...) GTie
Post by: DavidLaver on 03 April, 2018, 09:48:45 AM
Just spotted this - not long to run and no interest...  In half hour we'll see if the snipers were waiting.

It’s been for sale for a while, the GTie would be much dearer

21 years ago it was a really nice car, original factory sunroof and rare Turbo alloy wheels.
Picture below.

It's the second time of listing with no bids. I observed last time that it is up to £1000 too expensive. Re the alloy wheels; are they different to the usual Y10 optional extra alloy wheels and how do they compare with Prisma alloys?

They looked the same as the ones that were on my Gtie.

I have being having that discussion Brian with someone who assured me the GTie had Dedra style wheels with a grey metallic insert and diamond cut surface. Reference to press pictures and promotional material seemed to bear this out.

My apologises Frank, you're perfectly correct, jogged my mind that I had mine recut by the wheel place in Woburn Sands.

All GTie that I have seen with alloys had the Dedra style wheels, I have seen an early FIRE with the same alloys as on the Turbo

Very hard to price a Turbo these days, I think it’s too dear, but the few remaining owners have a different view. Good ones in Italy are running as high as 10k Euros, but doubt there are any that good in UK. Someone please prove me wrong

There may be one. A gent from Arbroath posted on the LMC face-book page when this Turbo was first listed. His is laid up at present but it looked in good condition.
