Title: Going out to play Post by: HBG on 26 January, 2024, 07:51:38 AM Weather this weekend looks good, salt washed away.
I'm thinking of heading out sharpish Sunday morning for a few hours, maybe East to Burnham-on-Crouch/ Mersea Island or North to Herts/ Beds (Caffeine and Machine, never been!) Or indeed anywhere else. Drive, coffee, drive home. Anyone else about? There's a caffeine and machine just outside Ampthill Bedfordshire, called the bowl?I'm thinking of heading out sharpish Sunday morning for a few hours, maybe East to Burnham-on-Crouch/ Mersea Island or North to Herts/ Beds (Caffeine and Machine, never been!) Howard If you're heading there, you need to look at their website, as often, events are held at weekends, and you might need to book. I've only been once when it first opened. It's a nice place to meet, and they now have a more extensive menu, as at first it was very limited. Many of the cars that meet there are fast, modern cars, and only a handful of classics, but you do get some interesting cars It's still worth going. I'm going to a meeting at Milton Keynes tomorrow, Mk88dd. But it seems a long way for you? Brian 8227 8) Title: Re: Going out to play Post by: HBG on 27 January, 2024, 04:12:11 PM Hi Brian
What event is that? Thanks. Title: Re: Going out to play Post by: fay66 on 27 January, 2024, 05:39:51 PM Hi Brian It's only a monthly coffee meet 10am until 2pmWhat event is that? Thanks. Detail Store 59 Garamonde Drive. Wymbush Milton Keynes, Mk8 8DD, I don't think it's anything worth coming all the way for, I'm just going to have a look, but it's only about 14 miles for me. Brian I've just checked out the bowl, and there is something on, and it's £10 for a car load for a 3 hour slot. However, you will get £5 back off of any drinks or food. It's the breakfast menu up to 11.30 am and the main meal menu thereafter. If you intend going you need to book, as there's not many places left. You could, of course, just turn up, but you won't get into the yard unless there is space, and there's nowhere to park otherwise. If I knew someone else was going in a Lancia I'd book as well, but not otherwise, as I can call in for coffee most other days during the week without having to pay.
