Title: B20 4th series carburetor linkage
Post by: impaw on 21 October, 2023, 10:33:47 PM
Hello,
I was about to fit the carburetor linkage plate to the engine today when, behold, I noticed that that plate that I believe should be attached to two of the head/intake studs don't match the centre to centre distance of these two studs.

The distance of the holes in my plate is about 58,47mm, while the spacing between the studs is about 65mm.

I´ll make a new plate, or modify the existing one, but just wanted to check if anybody has experienced this before?
Could it be that the carburetor linkage plate is from an earlier car, with a different distance between the studs perhaps?

Best regards
Torstein

I think I need a plate that looks like this, so I can lock the choke cable as well.
Does anybody have a spare?

I imagine I can help Torstein. The plate you have is most probably from a 2 litre car I will have a look tomorrow.

Sounds good Chris, I might have a couple of other small bits and pieces I'm missing as well.
Will mail you these in not too long.

regards
Torstein

Hello Torstein,
I think this is all you need as you can use parts of the other one in your photos. If not, let me know and I will dig out a complete one for you.
Regards
Chris
