Title: HPE sunroof
Post by: Jai Sharma on 06 March, 2023, 09:08:43 PM
Hello,
I opened my HPE sunroof and now it sits down at the back when closed. Any ideas as to what I need to do to fix it?
Thanks

Its been a long time since i have owned a beta or two, but remember the sunroof doing this even when a few years old. I used to push it up at the back as i flip back the lever. The other problem was keeping the drain holes clear, as it would fill up with water, giving you a soaking under braking.

Many thanks Julian. Any additional tips on curing it would be most welcome!

My last 2000ie Coupe which I sold in 2019 was the same. As Julian says it was a matter of sliding and pushing up the back at the same time until it was in place. I suspect it gets worse as the runners wear which they appear to do quickly.

Might be more insights on the Betaboyz forum which is worth joining anyway if you have a Beta.

Hi

Worth noting this thread on the forum, believe it is a common fault.
