Lancia Spanner
«

I recently won a spanner on e-bay. It is stamped LANCIA and is open ended 23mm and 29mm. Can anybody advise which model(s) it is for and if possible what it's used for.
Kind Regards
Tim

This is an interesting case of Lancia wanting to be diffferent. In the international ISO-standard these two sizes do not exist. A 21 or 22 mm spanner is for a 14 mm bolt. The next size is 24 mm, which is for a 16 mm bolt. The same applies to the 29 mm spanner. A 27 mm spanner is for a 18 mm bolt, while a 30 mm spanner is for a 20 mm bolt. - By the way. During the 'fifties you used a 14 mm spanner for a 8 mm bolt, but today you use a 13 mm spanner. 8 mm bolts are quite common on older Lancias.

The very pointy ends on your spanner suggest to me that it was a smaller size that has been enlarged.
It certainly does not look capable of applying the sort of torque level one would normally associate with those AF hexagon sizes.
The only thing that I can think of that it is suitable for is ebay!

I would agree with Ben. I have a similar looking spanner having been altered to fit the odd size steering column to box nut on the Dilambda.
