Title: 819 Saloon rear springs?
Post by: Woodyrvf750 on 31 December, 2022, 08:18:38 AM
Anyone got a decent pair of 819 Saloon rear springs available?

Mine are exhausted, damaged and need replacing.

Thanks.

Have you tried the Flavia 2000 Consortium?

If there are no Berlina springs in the Flavia Consortium Store [I've got the Consortium's late Mk1, Mk 2 Coupe springs - one with cracked leaf, one ok, one like new to retain as a template], you can do what I ended up doing, and have them re-made. I ended up £700 plus VAT [still find that hard to write!] for a pair to be made up, through BCC in Cornwall - loads more than I'd expected, but I did get even higher quotes elsewhere. Also took a while. I still haven't fitted them, but they look good off the car, included the bush in the eye end. BCC farmed it out to a company up north , I think most likely Owens in Rotherham, so you might get cheaper going direct there.

Or you can do the 'add an extra leaf' as advertised elsewhere in the Flavia threads...

Good luck
