Not wanting to get too picky (please don't groan!), but I'd say 6th and 7th at Spa in '83 wasn't too bad. And the 6th was the privately entered Mirabella car. Of course Works teams being beaten by the privateers was happening to Rothmans Porsche on a fairly regular basis. The "closed roof" LC1s were helping with the Championship points too, so that it wasn't a complete Porsche white-wash. In '84 I was of the understanding that Baldi/Barilla's 3rd place at Monza was re-instated after appeal (along with the winning Porsche of Bell/Bellof). I also have the same pairing finishing 4th at Silverstone, not 3rd. There was also a 4th at Spa in '85, along with the win. As for the chassis numbers, well, there do indeed appear to be many discrepancies! The above book has a pretty good crack at it. I hope you will see this as additional rather than contradictory, except possibly in two instances. Maybe somebody can supply the definitive version of these two results in '84. To my deep regret, I didn't attend many of these races. But one was Silverstone in '85 and that I will treasure! (You may now understand my choice of Avatar!) As a footnote, the Group 5 MonteCarlo Turbo was a far more successful racecar, winning the 1980 and '81 World Championship For Makes.
