I've finally worked out how to save and attach photos on a chromebook...

There's an equally simple system I've seen on a cataway drawing of a Fulvia HF. A strip of plastic or material comes up over the top of the door and hangs down the door panel. The strip and panel are fitted with press studs. If you pull on the strip the window raises and vice versa. Once in the postion you want you attach the press stud to the neares one on the door panel. Very simple, especially as my passenger window mechanism seems to have seized up.

That's the idea. Someone on that site brought up a problem I'd thought of. If you have an HF with plexi windows, when you unhook the strap I can't imagine there'd be enough weight to make the window drop. I think you would have to push the window down by hand and only use the strap to bring it back up.

Stan,
Looks like the drop window in the old wooden railway carriages, simple but very effective
