Just a belated update, whilst sorting through and cleaning a variety of parts, one of which was the original radio, when finally clean, it turned out to be a Condor, not quite the same as in advert nor Ades, but a Condor nevertheless! P

I had it converted to FM but still the auto tune bit works. Magic bit of string....
Yes it was a 2 box device with a powersupply box with valves etc behind the dash.

No Tim, had subtle "Condor" inscribed just above the pushbuttons and under the tuning window, so subtle you couldn't read it under the 1950s Portuguese grime. Yes, secondary power supply box too, I dread the thought of opening them and trying to refurbish!
