Hello all,

I'm gearing up to drop my Zagato's front subframe, and want to build a frame (on castors) to support the body once it's lifted off. Are there any guides for dimensions, and where best to support?

Any help much appreciated,

Rosco

Have you got the Fulvia workshop manual ?

Couple of photos from mine, there are more pages that cover the replacement of the subframe boxes if they need doing. However you coul make up a frame/jig using the original data

Thanks Simonandjuliet!

I've got all my bits for constructing it now, and with those diagrams I can crack on.

I don't have the Fulvia workshop manual, where can I source one?

Cheers,

Ross.

Last question (ish) chaps,

I'm creating an H-frame on (lockable and swivelling) castors to attach to the two front and two rear subframe mounting points; this'll allow me to move the body around relatively easily, and get it on a trailer. How long are the mounting point bolts, and are they the same front and rear? I just want to ensure the frame is the correct thickness.

Ta,

Ross.

At present I have my series 2 front subframe out of the car. The front mounting bolts are 100mm long in the shank, the rears 110 mm.

Hi Simon

I have the Fulvia manual that Tim is describing on E-Bay but it doesn`t have the diagrams that you are showing. The chassis diagrams only date to 17/11/64 and yours show 1970? Also there is nothing about replacing the subframe boxes, in fact I cannot see anything relating to my 1600HF series 2 . I find the manual not a lot of use really. Am I missing something? The Tavola doesn`t show the boxes either, no part numbers or descriptions, just numbers that don`t relate to anything do they?

Hi John
The workshop manual that I have is a very old version as produced by Peter Gerrish in 1977 (ish), with a fair number of additional typed pages. Is this now available on the CD version that Tim refers to ?
Sorry but I haven't a copy of the CD to compare

No - if you look at the web address I gave you can see what you get - a lot!  I do not have a Peter Gerrish manual. Must see when next in the 'hood Simon.
