Fulvia 1600HF Rear Discs

Hi everyone,
                   Whilst my Fulvia is off the road over the winter I've got a few jobs planned, the main one of which is to sort out the handbrake. Before I start the strip down I've been inspecting the rear discs and it looks as though it would be a good idea to replace them as part of the work.
  Has anyone used the EBC discs advertised on Ebay and are they any good?

Hi Barry, I work for a motor factors,and we don't sell EBC for a reason   I bought my rear discs from cavalitto ( probably spelt wrong) but with the brexit thing, try Omicron, at least you will get a good quality, and if a warranty claim was to arise good customer service. Re Ebay, i never trust a site that does not show photos of the actual part you would be buying. hope this helps. Roger

I may be mis- reading this, but is the undercurrent that EBC aren't any good? Not heard that before.

Not from me - I have no experience with EBC products as I try to stick to oem....!!

I have EBC on the MGTF and they are absolutely fine.     I don't go easy on them either.

Cavellito supplied new re-manufactured front Discs for my 2c, when we called in during the Fulvia Knights Rallye in 2013, so I'm sure they'd be able to supply.

What a co-incidence, I changed the rear discs on my Series 2 1600HF just before Christmas - I hadn't intended to as I was just planning to make the handbrake work properly, but one of the discs was cracked.
I bought a pair of EBC discs direct from EBC - £142 for discs including a pair of rear pad sets, free delivery - they look good and fitted properly. I have used EBC discs before on my Lotus Elise and they were fine. They were also cheaper than Omicron.
I bought the handbrake shoes from Omicron (exchange), I didn't bother with their spring and fitting kit as mine were ok.
I haven't taken the car out yet, but all seems to be working fine - including the handbrake (at last)!

Thanks again for the responses. I've hired the club's hub tool and removed the hub nuts using a 24v electric impact driver. One advantage of using the club's tool is that you also get support and advice from Tim. Today I pulled the hubs off to reveal the state of the handbrake shoes and fittings. The clips, springs etc are better than I expected but the shoes will have to be changed.

Steve; very useful to know the EBC discs fit. I know that in the Triumph community they are well thought of and at that price they are significantly cheaper than the ones from Omicron.

The job is growing though. I think I'll send the callipers off to Big Red. I've also taken the tank out as part of the flange is corroded away and it is going away to be repaired.
