Why us, what have we done thats soo bad. Apparently Lancia won't be retuning to Ireland. From what i gather (from people within the Fiat dealer network in Ireland) Fiat Ireland are rubbish at running the operation here.

Sales here have dried up from 17259 in 2000, to 3115 in 2006. very bad in a market thats grown every year!

So I'll have to pop over to the UK to get a Delta when they arrive & then do a personal import! Strange though as in 1994 more Thema were registed in Ireland than England!!

Does that mean you'll have to cross the water Toby, or just nip north to the six counties?  Does absence from Ireland also mean Lancia isn't going to bother in the north either?  If that's the case, perhaps we should get the first minister at Stormont to remind Lancia SpA which country Belfast is in - I'm sure he'd deliver the message in his tranditionally forthright style... as far as i know its just the South Lancia isn't coming to, so yes in theory we could go up North! But hopefully the Lancia will return. I've e-mailed Fiat Ireland about it, but surprise surprise haven't heard anything back yet!

Are Fiat rationalising the Alfa dealer network in Ireland too?

i hope not, if they were to cut dealerships in Ireland for Alfa they might aswell shut up shop completely! Its more like dealers are leaving Alfa! My nearest Alfa dealership is about 1:30 hrs away.

The Alfa range here is selling very poorly, only 462 Alfa's were sold this year, of that 300 were 159's. To give you a comparison, BMW sold 6929, & even lexus outsells Alfa @ 1585!
