This has just finished on e=bay. It's only 55,000 miles but with no MOT, minor cill rot and a thoroughly rotted out door. It was bid to £451  but didn't make reserve which begs the question, how much did they think it was worth?

£450 sounds a fair price for that, as it will be difficult to source a better door I would have thought. Similar cars with rust issues and no MOT would not fetch that, so it looks like Y10 prices are on the up. Though not as up as the owner thought apparently!

I had better hang on to the spare door in my shed then.

It is now re-listed without reserve so we will see. Overall it doesn't look a pretty good project.

Neil, you are right about doors being difficult to source. when my car was broken into and I wanted another door the silence was deafening!!! The only offer was from Frank who, sensibly, now wishes to hold onto his spare. My problem was overcome by diligent use of crude force and a piece of 4x2 to 'manouevre' the doors back into an acceptable shape, such that they would shut and lock!!!

Difficult but not impossible if expensive

Reskin the lower half of that door and it looks a very good prospect. It's the same year and spec as mine but with half the mileage.
