Wait no longer, the plans have been laid...

The Kent Christmas meal will be at the Dog and Bear Hotel in Lenham, 7.30 for 8pm on Friday 7th December 2007.

Please let me know if you wish to come, and furnish me with a 10 pound deposit, by 14 November (at our monthly meeting that night will be fine).

Accommodation is on offer at either the Dog and Bear or the Lime Tree over the road - please arrange direct with the establishment concerned (though I can give contact details for either place).

Menu below (£19.95 per head):

STARTERS

- Homemade sweet potato, Apple and Leek Soup with potato crisps

- Smoked Trout Mousse with lemon and oatcakes

- Chilli Lamb Pancake, with double cream and cheddar cheese au gratin

- Breaded flat mushrooms with garlic dipping mayonnaise

- Melon and Prawns with Mary Rose sauce

MAINS

- Roast Kentish Turkey with sage and shallot stuffing, chipolata sausage and bacon roll, bread sauce and traditional gravy

- Foil Parcel of Salmon with leeks and fresh herbs in a white wine cream sauce

- 6 oz Sirloin Steak presented upon saute potatoes, with a Madiera and green peppercorn sauce

- Roasted vegetable lasagne

PUDS

- Traditional Christmas Pudding with brandy sauce

- Homemade Chocolate and Raspberry Roulade with chocolate sauce

- Strawberry Yoghurt with shortbread biscuit

- Rhubarb and Ginger Creme Brulee

- Mature Cheddar, Blue Stilton and Brie Cheese with biscuits

PLUS coffee or tea with mince pies
