The Club has been invited to have a club area at the above event - is anyone out there willing to take forward. Rebecca Leppard was the contact for Prescott.

The details for the weekend are:-

Please find below some more information regarding Classic Nostalgia. I wondered whether your car club would like to join us for Classic Nostalgia Saturday 16th July 2016 to 17th July 2016

Some of the most historic competition days ever held at Shelsley Walsh will be recreated during the Classic Nostalgia weekend in July 2016. With many iconic cars returning to the 111 year old Worcestershire hill, and a great tribute to the mighty Group B rally cars of the 80’s, the 16th and 17th July 2016 will most definitely be one weekend for the diary.

Auto Union, Audi Sport Quattro and Tribute to Group B Rallying

This year’s Classic Nostalgia will celebrate the 80th anniversary of an Auto Union Type C similar to the one that Hans Stuck drove on the hill in June 1936. This incredible V16 Grand Prix turned-hill-climb-car that was such a stunning technological marvel at the time is returning to Shelsley with none other than Stuck's son, Hans-Joachim Stuck driving.

Celebrating the Auto Union's visit fifty years after Stuck's was Hannu Mikkola who in 1986 drove works Audi Sport Quattro Group B car to new Closed Car record at Shelsley of 29.51 seconds that stood for many years. This famous short wheel base Quattro '44 WMN' that drove in the British Rally Championship in 1986 in the hands of Mikkola, will too be returning to Shelsley Walsh.

As well as the Auto Union and the Audi Sport Quattro, both days will also see a tribute to Group B Rallying with the mighty Group B cars in action from the Audi Sport Quattro, Peugeot 205 T16, Metro 6R4, Lancia Delta S4, Ford RS200 and everything in between.
Plus there will be static displays from some of the Group B clubs, like 6R4.net and Rallying with Group B.

Air Displays
This year Trig Aerobatics will be in action on both days and will bring to the skies a unique blend of classic vintage glamour and dynamic close formation. The planes are flown by highly experienced and skilled aerobatic pilots whose display offers all the smoke and noise of a modern display act, coupled with the unbeatable character of the 1940′s designed Pitts Special biplane
Thanks to the Royal Air Force, on Saturday we have a special fly-past from the Lancaster Bomber at 1.40pm, not to be missed!!

Music and Interviews
The Classic Nostalgia weekend is one for all the family, with not only great on-track action, the Courtyard offers great off-track entertainment. With non-stop music throughout the weekend celebrating music and dance from the 1940’s, 1950’s to modern classics. On the Saturday My Favourite Things, the UK’s No.1 Vintage Sister Duo will perform throughout the day, with music from the vintage era of the 1930’s-50 along with the kings of swing, the ‘Ding Dong Daddios’ who will fill your ears with a blend of Jump Jive and Swing
On the Sunday the Lady and the Sax will have the whole place rockin’ as he belts out the 1950’s Rock and Roll classics. Plus we welcome the return of the glamourous Lola Lamour, often referred to as Britain’s most authentic 1940’s singer, who will have you transfixed as she graces the stage with her ‘Hollywood Screen Siren’ presence

There will also be a raft of driver interviews, including Hans Stuck will be chatting to Toby Moody on the Sunday, plus you can even have a go at a free jive dance lesson.
Visitors are encourage to wear period dress; this year the Vintage Fashion Competition will be sponsored by Holden Vintage & Classic, a gift voucher will be awarded in the Courtyard by Holden on the Sunday at 4pm for the best and most authentic vintage outfit.

Concours d'elegance
The Sunday will see the annual Street Concours open for cars built before 1982, the Concours is once again kindly sponsored by Classic & Sports Car magazine and is open to the first 100 entries through the gate before 12 noon and is judged by motoring journalist and regular Shelsley Walsh competitor Simon Taylor from Classic and Sports Car Magazine. There is no charge to enter the Concours but cars must be driven through the entry gate, no trailers please! The overall winner of the Concours receives a silver salver and is invited to display the vehicle on the Club’s stand at the NEC Classic Motor Show in November.
