Apologies if this picture has been posted before. I came across it via the Flavia and Flaminia Facebook group.I thought others might like to see the unusual Appia models in the foreground. I guess the one closest to the camera is a Giardinetta and I think the car next to it is a Vignale coupe.

Interesting, the furgoncino at the front looks a bit like my Promiscuo - fully glazed sides.

Do you have any more details about the collection - where, owners, more photos etc ?

I think the photo was made in the "PANTHEON" in Basel, they had a Lancia exhibit a couple of years ago.  They also have some Lancia's in their permanent collection. (ao a Lambda....)

Some facts:
Exhibition was at Pantheon Basel from December 4th, 2009 to April 5th, 2010
That Appia is a C86, with "Autolettiga" or ambulance bodywork, done by Lancia, in 1954 and 1955: 22 were built with RHD, 19 with LHD.

This from the very nice catalog of the exhibition, with all the cars present illustrated, which is still available at the Museum Shop.

If you are travelling through Switzerland, the Pantheon is a worthwhile stop before going south to the Gotthard and Italy, or north back home.
There is also a very good restaurant on the premises.

If you use the Pantheon Carfinder on the bottom left of that webpage you will find the info on that Appia from the catalog, and some pictures. Also info on all the other cars present (including a few Lambdas).

Thank you Sebastien... what a lovely set of pictures are available if you use that car finder facility to search for Lancia: Lambdas, Augustas, Aurelias, Appias, Flaminias, Flavias, Fulvias and more...

Chris

PS. I've also found another couple of nice Appia pictures on the Lancia Club de Suisse Facebook page: the Appia Autolettiga again and a rear view of an Appia Giardinetta by Viotti.
