I missed out on this car by a bid last year when I was looking for a runabout. I think the buyer ended up doing quite a bit of work on it, as detailed on the Betaboyz Forum. It will be interesting to see what he gets. It was on at a fairly high price (£4995??) a couple of weeks ago. My losing bid last year was £850!

Did you go to inspect it Neil, or were you bidding blind?

It does sound like a very good little car, but that is just from the sellers info. If you can add anything else that would be a great help.

Best wishes,

No I was bidding blind as it was in East Anglia, but just looked so good, though it wasn't on the road back then. I even got a really reasonable quote for trailering it home!

The current owner had some major problems with the FI system after he bought it, which I think I would have found very frustrating, but from his thread on Betaboyz he sorted that and tore the car down a fair bit. He added the Delta alloys.

Never the less, he's looking for a fairly big return on his investment I think.

Well, £1,708 seems a good price for it, more than I had in mind!!! Not that I was going to bid, I have been advised that I have sufficient motor vehicles!!
