I think my starter motor is on it's last legs and was looking at getting another unit to get reconditioned as I can't seem to find a good/new one.
Is the starter motor on the 2000HF unique to this car or is it also fitted to other vehicles?

Have you looked at a Fulvia starter as same flywheel / gearbox (?) as 2/3series. Generally you can still get the brushes and the rest is generally a good clean out and regrease. That is what I have found any way....

Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?

Tim, there are Bosch and Duceiller starters for S2 Fulvias, might be the same for 2000HFs (?).

Many thanks, that should broaden my options somewhat.

I have both as spares but (unfortunately not for sale) as my 2 Fulvias have either....
