Fabulous! I think those are seat covers as they are very similar to some that arrived on a B20 I bought some long time ago. Just glad this car isn't 'just down the road' and easy to visit. Someone will buy it and probably get a bargain. Chris

... at a modest price, whose value is going up daily.
OK - when I see that text, it is time to start worrying! Really ?!
And why that strange color? I would not want to be seen in a Flaminia Berlina in that red!
But as Chris wrote - if that car was down the road, I would go and look at it, and peek under the seat covers!

The sad thing is that when these cars were available and cheap, few people wanted to buy them. See photo of this readily restorable Berlina that I helped trailer to Cardiff in 1995. It had been owned by a friend who had difficulty in finding a buyer at about £1000.

I'm a fan of these lovely cars too (Brian - we agree on this one!). What I call a 'serious' car. Does exactly what it says on the tin - 5 or 6 people in comfort and a proper boot for European touring. Only problem is you need a serious garage too to house them......

That red must be a respray. Note the door cappings are red as well whereas they should be black. That suggests it has been messed about with a bit in a rather unsympathetic manner. I would also wonder why the black stripe across the door bottoms? Covering something up maybe. Having said all that it looks in very good condition and the price is silly even compared to a Pininfarina Coupe.
Frank
(p,s, the one that went to Cardiff stood outside for a number of years till it wasn't an easy restoration any more. But that's the way it goes with under appreciated cars.)

A good Flam berlina is a wonderful thing. All the same I'm surprised at the excitement this one is generating. The horrible colour (a personal one, that, I know, but really!), black go-faster stripes!! And the clincher for me, the chrome wheelarches a la b**tardised Mercedes of the '60s. There are usually quite a few lovely looking, apparently much better value ones of these on the market in Italy. A quick search found several at the 15k Euro level, which should be a lot cheaper in the long run than this red aberration: http://www.kijiji.it/annunci/auto/torino-annunci-pinerolo/lancia-flaminia-berlina-1-serie/65833095and this one (black - paint looks amazing in the photos, check the reflections) http://rmauto.it/auto-lancia-flaminia-mantova.9873988.phpnot to mention this one in silver and black for 12k Euros - £9,500 at today's exchange rate, compared to £9k for the red car. I rest my case. http://cerca.automobile.it/auto-inserzioni/lancia-flaminia-berlina-perugia/193520922.html

Both are lovely, although one photo of the silver & black one on the site looks all silver until you look closer at the boot lid, it also has a new interior. Brian 8227

£9500 for a car of this quality is hard to believe. It's such an imposing looking car and the interior is gorgeous but subtle..

How many vans of Appia spares does it take to build a wall to hide one of these behind?
I'd have thought it was one of those cars that are easy to get past the missus - its having the courage to take on something of that scale and complexity...

Love the Google translation of the Black Cars details, says it sleeps 6! on the other hand perhaps going by the size of the Berlina it's correct Brian 8227

Interesting that the advert for the grey one seems to say it was first registered in November 1964 but it has the twin rear wipers of the earliest models.
