I am testing the water here and am in no panic to sell but I am now in a position with a new company where I no longer have the option of the car allowance and have to take a company car.
This Thesis some of you will recall is the car which I purchased in Turin in early 2012 to use daily for my work on the company allowance scheme instead of the company car. It has served me very well, clocking up over 70,000km in my hands until the company went into administration in January this year. I had used it daily under freelance employment until recently and I did promise Stuart Wilson could use it as his wedding car yesterday but now that commitment has been fulfilled I find myself in a position where I am using it very little and believe that a more classical Lancia will suit me better.
I am therefore giving people in the club the opportunity to have first refusal on this magnificent machine, before placing the following advert on classiccarsforsale.com and carandclassic.com websites.
I may be interested in a classic Lancia px either way. WHY?

Paul.
I wish you luck, I had none and am still staggered that there was not one club member willing to take the plunge with mine.
I maintain they are one of the best luxury individually styled cars out there and one of the very last Lancia cars made before the tie up with Chrysler.
It is a formidile car on a motorway and so comfortable.
One of the best styled interiors also.
Come on you lot you could have this as transport!

What I find amazing is the number of people who talk to you about your car, how great it is, how they would love to own one, give me a call when you come to sell it etc- yet when the time does come they disappear into the woodwork.
It reminds me of when I set up my self drive Ferrari hire business and a number of friends and colleagues all said that they would hire one for a day or weekend yet when it came down to it I couldn't find them for dust.
But, back to my Thesis, I really don't mind if no-one is interested, I will just keep it and maybe advertise elsewhere in a month or so. It's modern, it's quirky & rare, comfortable, safe, solid, economical, quick enough & I don't have to keep one eye on the temperature gauge!

Talk is cheap Paul, a lot of dreamers out there and makers of promises.

Great you can keep her and enjoy!

And here is a photo of Paul's Thesis dressed up for Wedding duties.  I must admit that if I had the money, it would be coming to the Lake District permanently.  Unfortunately we don't  Angry

Car now sold to Northern Irish enthusiast Hugh Scott of Belfast who says he is joining the LMC.

As an aside, not one bit of interest whatsoever on this forum, but plenty on classiccarsforsale.com

First person who viewed it purchased it.

This was my experience on the Forums too. Plenty of interest but generally people who already have cars and no more space/money.

Neil, to the space/money pairing I think it is advisable to add 'time'.

Good news Paul.
Glad it has found a new home, and I am surprised it got more interest from that website than the Lancia enthusiast forum, I should have tried it.....Hindsight eh?
Happy to have a grale again however!

Paul,

If you recall, I did suggest you try it at the time.

Glad you're back in a Delta again.

I remember you did but I thought it would be better suited to a Lancista .... funny eh!
No not funny really as it is one of the last probably and still an amazing bargain.

Interesting thought .....

If we only ever sell our Lancias to each other in the club ... then the club will never grow as we will never get any new members

Just another perspective to consider  ...
