The swiss chapter of the Lambda World Register held its annual lunch in Utzenstorf, a small village beween Berne and Solothurn, last saturday.
The meeting was organised by Joachim Griese, co-founder with Bill Jamieson of the LWR.
6 Lambda owners and their friends had an excellent time, discussing the Lambda, sharing their experiences, and enjoying the food. A record participation of 5 Lambdas (of which one berlina, and one a short torpedo fitted with a ballon) that came from all over Switzerland was recorded. The owner of the sixth one, just having its sump welded (the car's engine's, not the owner's), came instead in his Aurelia B20!
Joachim Griese confirmed that Switzerland had been an export country of choice for Lancia in the twenties and thirties.
Today the LWR has 30 swiss Lambdas in its register, and there could be some more to be found.

I have always believed that using the track rod as a badge bar is asking for trouble. If one of them became loose for any reason and leant backwards, the driver could loose steering in one or other direction. The suspension tubes might be a safer position for badges.
