Hi all
Big thanks to Simon Ingman for spending some time helping me to sort out some of the spares last week. Had a visit from Mike Costigan yesterday looking for some parts for his Series 1 car, check out his other wheels a 1914 Saxon!

Hi all
just an advance notice I am going down to see Don in May to have a chat about how we see the consortium moving forward so any input from members or non members most welcome. While I am away from the grim north I will be picking up some new floorpans so if anyone is interested get in touch and we can order some more.

We have made floors for both series 1 and series 2.

Abbiamo fatto piani per entrambe le serie 1 e serie 2.

Re floor pans, we are about to finalise the order for floor pans, both early and late types.

Please let either me or Jim know if you want floors. If you buy them now, they are £85 per side (early or late) and are slightly oversize to allow fitting. They are not handed so fit LHD and RHD, just need the cut out for the throttle
Surprisingly, the driver's side and passenger's side are not mirror images, they are the same, which makes reproduction easier.

We will be making some extras for the Appia Consortium, but if ordered via the the Consortium there will be a small surcharge - so take advantage now !

Please let us know by the end of the week

Hi all
just repeating what Simon covered in his post re the floor pans...special offer for earlybirds!
we are also exploring replacement Series 1 wing quarters as both mine are very poor and possibly a repair plate for the inner wing where the muck builds up...

A bit of background on the floors .....

The later floors have been straightforward, we have had several models with original floors to check against. The panels are not handed, and the only difference between LHD and RHD is the cut out for the accelerator, so that has been left to the fitter to cut out
These are good for later models of furgoncino/PF coupe/berlina etc

The early floors (without the "notch/bobble" in the middle of the panel) have been more confusing

There appears to have been more variation across models, so we have copied floors from a 1st series berlina and there is the option to have these handed as well - ie mirror image

Small variations can be made to these by the fitter if required

The floors are very good, solid panels giving a fair amount of overlap to allow for individual fitting and represent excellent value for money !

Hi all
Some bad news from the Grim North my Father (Jim Senior aged 85) has suffered a mini-stroke and was hospitalized for 5 days. He is back home now but still very poorly so I have spent the last week there making sure the old so and so does not fall in the fishpond again. Suffice to say spare parts for you guys is low down on my list so if possible email me on appiasparesconsortium@outlook.com and I will see what I can do. As it is a 4 hr and 160 mile round trip I will not be coming home for about a week at a time. Just to add to the situation this is right in the middle of my exam marking so I am off to Cambridge on Saturday.

You have your priorities right Jim!! Look after your father and your family, the Appias can wait!!!

I hope your father soon recovers and there are no long lasting effects.
