Hi

If you didn't know it's been 50 years since they started Car of the Year and Practical Classics is featuring 10 of those cars including the Delta and specifically my Delta Smiley

It was an interesting photoshoot (freezing cold!) with the group having nothing in common other than all being COTY , so a real mixed bag.

My copy of PC has just arrived down under and I was pleased to see a Delta on the cover - I thought 'I bet I know who owns that'.  So doubly good to see our own Stevie P on the inside pages.  Some great cars in that feature (as in obscure and interesting) - the wonderful Renault 16, a beautifully preserved Fiat 128, and a Chrysler Alpine (as owned by my Dad and which provide childhood transport for me).  Excellent to see the 'ordinary' Delta getting some further recognition.  Mr P is of course getting to be a bit of a media tart - look carefully and you can see him in the front seat of my Delta on the front cover of Auto Italia's Delta 30th issue, and it was his integrale which featured in Top Gear magazine about three years back.  We are in the presence of a full blown celebrity... Yeeeeeessss, thank you Mr Owen Smiley Although it's partly because I had a ride in your Delta that I knew they were such nice cars and didn't hesitate in buying one ....
