I'm probably the last one to discover this but I've just ordered a couple of tyres from allopneus.com - NOT 'allo'allopneus.com! French site and although I'm having mine delivered to my home they could have been delivered straight to the garage of my choice. Very local garages too, not the nearest big town. Discovered a cut in an otherwise perfect Yokohama A520 on the front of the Fulvia. No longer make A520's. The spare is an A539 - no longer make 14" version so couldn't use it as a pair. So I've gone with Dunlop SP Sports at 41 each. Score highly on grip, wet driving, low noise etc. Won Tyre of the Year 2013, blah, blah. So we shall see.

I've used them as well, very quick, good prices ..... but I can't find Appia tyres with them !

A word of advice with Longstone Tyres in Europe.
From time to time they run promotions when more than one tyre is purchased......but only in one country at a time. So it happened that last Spring when I wanted to buy a set of 5off  165 x 400 Michelin X and have them delivered to NE Italy, it appeared to be considerably cheaper to actually buy them from Longstone France rather than Longstone Italy or Longstone UK!
I queried this with them in the UK on the telephone and being the gentlemanly company that they are, they gave me the 'French price' and delivered the tyres to Italy.
And then a few weeks later I subsequently ordered another set of 5 off 165 x 400 to be delivered to a UK address for my project B20, and they gave me the discounted price again.
So the advice is if you want to buy multiple tyres from Longstone, have a look at the European websites to see if any of the promotions apply.

I have written elsewhere that I run Dunlop Sport (200 I think) on my HF which has gone round Goodwood for the last 6 years and a couple of over the mountains trips to Italy and think they are a great tyre for the Fulvia with a reasonable amount of sidewall flex so compatible with the suspension design. Keep to 175's unless you want to swap steering feel with hooliganisms.....

Good to know that Tim. I just had to make an educated guess after reading lots of write ups. I looked at Pirelli P1's as I liked the idea of Italian tyres on an Italian car (as good as they are, Japanese tyres on an Italian car has always felt odd) but they didn't get over-impressive reviews. I just went with the width I already had, which are 185/60's. This is to clear the arches as I have HF alloys on a 1300S. Not sure if there's such a thing as a 175/60 but I'll bear it mind next time. If they exist, in the future is there any problem running the 185's at the rear and 175's at the front? Legal or otherwise?

Had the Dunlops fitted today. What a revelation! As soon as I pulled out of the garage it felt like it had power steering. Through tight bends I can't feel any pressure fighting back. Even though they are still 'hooligan' width it feels like I have much narrower tyres, the steering is so nice and light. The biggest test came when I reversed it into my garage. It takes a bit of manouevering and by the time I've finished I'm usually slumped in the car, hot and tired, like some unfit Mansell after a Grand Prix. Not today! Slow speed, twirling the wheel this way and that, what a pleasure. Tim, I don't think they are the same as yours, having looked at your cars nether regions in the Mondovi pics. Mine are 185/60 14 82H Dunlop Sport Bluresponse. If anyone has a 1.3S fitted with HF alloys and have arms like Popeye from parking I can recommend these.
