I've decided to retire my Thema V6 as I've received a good offer of a Kappa SW and that suits my car needs better than a V6 these days. Also, I jacked the car up the other day and the jacking point (Offside) partially folded into the sill and will need a welding repair. I've been quoted £200 for this as the petrol tank needs to be moved out of the way to do the welding. It's not a hard job as a tank can be dropped in 2 - 3 hrs, but I've just come to that stage where I feel like a change of car after almost 7 years with my Thema.

It is a very strong engine and can deliver up to 31mpg on long motorway drives, but around town the mpg will drop to 23mpg. On the plus side, you get a very robust 2.8 V6 engine with a timing chain and no clutch problems to worry about. I've owned numerous Themas and this has been by far the cheapest to run in terms of maintenance and it also feels faster than my 8v Turbo ever did on standing start acceleration. I'd guess it gets to 50mph faster than the Turbo would thanks to the smoothness and speed of the auto box changes.

She has an MoT until the 20th April and has 1 brand new tyre and 3 others that are in very good condition. Cosmetically looks pretty good. Some rust blistering in usual place on rear wheel arches, but was looking good enough last year for a friend to ask if they could have it as their main wedding car.

Good Points:
a full stainless steel exhaust,
very clean interior,
A/C that still works well enough to demist the windows quickly in winter and does chill the air a bit in summer,
valve clearances were all checked in the last 12 months or so,
new distributor + rotor arm + plugs and HT leads
~124K miles which is nothing for the 2.8 PRV V6 engine.

My main interest is to see the car go to a good home that will keep her going and it really won't take too much to get her through an MoT, just the welding and maybe some rear wishbone bushes which are readily available on ebay.

Change of plan, I love the car too much and feel its too good to part with so I've had the jacking point repaired.
