1976 Beta coupe - Chocolate Lime

« on: 06 February, 2014, 02:52:01 PM »

Hi

I went to last years event at Hardwick Hall and it was very good( if a little thin on Lancias, which I am sure can be improved upon) .

I love the little teaser picture of your car.  Have you any more you could share?

At the risk of embarrassing Mark with my gushing praise (again), his 'Chocolate Lime' Coupe is not only my favorite Beta, it is my favorite Lancia full stop (and I haven't even seen it in the flesh yet!).

On a more serious note I may have a ride down to this show depending how I'm fixed come August.

I went to the Mitcar at Stamford about 4-5 years ago, it's not really a show as such, more like a gathering of Italian Cars, but worth going to and if I can arrange it I'll be there as well.

Thanks for the interest- have put a few pics up in the Beta section - lets hope she lives up to Neils build-up!

I should add that the MITCAR idea is that there is something for non-car-nuts to look at- a house and gardens usually, which may help in encouraging passengers.

We ceertainly enjoyed Burghley house and gardens after looking at the cars.
Always wanted to have a look at Rockingham Castle after it was used in the TV series back in the 1990's? " By the sword divided" about the English Civil War, but up to now I've never made it, time to catch up!

I'm going to attend the Rockingham Castle day, do you just turn up on the day or do you have to register?

At Burghley we just turned up, it was very informal.
