Mighty stuff!!

The toggle press on the floor looks interesting - if that's the right name for them.

That "long reach polishing mop" looks like it should have a story attached.

David
it does! it came out of a hospital and was used for polishing artificial limbs , came up faulty on ebay a few months ago , there were some broken conections on the speed controller where we thing the machine had been dropped in transit , super Dad to the rescue with his electronics/engineering background and was repaired in a few hours, funny story for you was watching him test run the motor 1st ............with my battery charger! don't ask me how as all I can tell you is its 110v ac unit and the charger is 12>24v dc but he proved the motor was fine before I bought it  Huh?

more progress, new inner sill side members made to strengthen the sides, in effect making chassis legs the full length of the car, floor pans made and fitted, just cross members to go now then move on to the rear floor and underneath

Strength like that it's ready for a desert crossing with supplies for a month.  Going to box in or strap under the prop or leave it open?

Looking good.

Chance of a photo of "the car" as a whole in the next batch?

Out of interest, what thickness steel do you use ? 0.6, 0.8, 1mm ?

Getting there...

Did you come up with a solution for the brakes?

I am not sure that I can believe my eyes, an invisible rotisserie!!!  The last time I saw this done they did at least have the decency to roll it onto an old mattress!! I presume there is something supporting the top of the bodywork that, with the camera angle, we cannot see?  What makes it more impressive is that you have done it with that damn great V8 lump in it.

So, why do you need her on her side? Could you not have used the lift?

As usual James, very impressive ........... was it all manpower and how did you control her after you reached the tipping point?
