Maybe I need another trip - to Italy this time, to look at the ones they have .... this looks nice and I would love to see the detail to see how well it has been done. The back looks lovely with the varnished boards, but I am sure that they were painted originally.

I think this has also been advertised on Subito

If you were going to permit some bling varnished boards would be high on the list...  Perhaps oil for a lower sheen and easier maintenance.
